Some people discover their passion late in life. I discovered mine at the age of ten.

It was my mother who first put a crochet hook in my hands — along with knitting needles and a sewing kit. She taught me that with patience, color, and love, you can create something beautiful from almost nothing. I never forgot that lesson.

Over the years I learned new techniques on my own, experimented with materials, and developed my own style. But the core always stayed the same: a deep, unstoppable need to make the world more beautiful.

From Greece to Hamburg — a love story 🇬🇷🇩🇪

I am Greek. I grew up surrounded by color, light, and Mediterranean beauty. Then one summer, I met a wonderful German man — and a few years later, love brought me to Hamburg.

Hamburg is grey and rainy and absolutely wonderful. And somewhere between the Greek sun in my heart and the northern German skies outside my window, StepToLight was born.

Why I create

I have an internal tendency to make everything around me more beautiful — the people I see, the places I live, the rooms I walk into. When I look at a woman and imagine a piece of jewelry that would make her shine — I cannot rest until I make it.

My designs don't come from copying trends. They come from somewhere deeper. Nature, art, fashion, color — everything inspires me. But when I sit down to create, something happens that I can only describe like this: the idea comes out of my soul.

Then I work to make it wearable, durable, and functional — because beauty must also last.

What makes StepToLight different

Every piece I make is completely handmade — by my hands, in my home in Hamburg, Germany. No factory. No machine. Just yarn, beads, wire, and love.

I have a color palette that I return to again and again — and I recently realized something funny: they are exactly the colors that suit me!! 😄 I follow fashion closely — I watch almost everything related to it — but I only use trends that speak to my own taste. Because authentic beauty cannot be forced.

My wish for you

When you wear a StepToLight piece, I want you to feel confident and unique. I want you to walk into a room and feel ten feet tall.

That is my wish. That is why I create. That is StepToLight. 💙
